I've been on Paxil for almost 20 years. I've increased my dose w/ my doc a few months ago. I'm still battling depression, lack of energy, etc.
I'm thinking of making a switch to Prozac. I have high cholesterol and just found out Paxil contributes to that. Anyone use Prozac with a mood stabilizer for BiPolar? |

Yes. I tried Paxil. Didn't work for me. I've been on Prozac for 20 years. I'm taking an experimental dose (high).
My doc put me on many other meds to try them out but I always have to come back to Prozac because it works. |

Prozac is definitely one of the most widely effective antidepressants on the market.
It's either the first choice of many pdocs, or what they go for when a patient doesn't respond positively to another SSRI. Mixing Prozac with a mood stabilizer is one of the most common psych med combos out there.
