Well just got back from my doc and I told him that I have noticed a twitch feeling in my left wrist and I'm concerned the 600mg of seroquel I'm taking has caused it...he told me he thinks its in my head! Lovely

Had a Doc like that once.. In the 'hour' session i had with him, he completed his notes, Wrote a prescription, booked a ward bed, and took a 5 min call..
a few minute before my time was up, he picked up my file, scribbled a few notes, wrote a prescription, and asked me to book a session for next month with the Secretary.. Needles to say i never went back.. (but did make use of the Uppers and Downers he prescribed) Took me Six different doc's to find the one that Actually listened to me as if I was #1... Also not always a good idea to tell someone with BPD that its 'in their head'...

I tried that stuff - but have no clue there, as I took maybe 2 doses (forget the mg) and decided it made me far to drowsy to be satisfied with it, and coffee would nor counter the drowsy effect so.........
However, I THINK I recall reading in the info for it (I look up all details about anything before I take it at all) that there was a small percentage of people that got some muscle twitching, but can't even remotely recall if that was in general, specific muscles or what. Anyway I know it would have been a really low percentage (like <1% - 3% probably). |

Tardive Dyskinesia is known to be caused by antipsychotics.
The newer generation of them (Seroquel, Abilify, Zyprexa, etc)have a lower chance of causing it, but there's still a chance and many reports of it happening. It can show up during the first couple months, or even years after you stop taking it, and is irreversible. There's a slim chance you have it, but if it's a constant twitching and wasn't happening before Seroquel, there's a possibility.
