Currently the only medication I am taking is Paxil. I have read that many cold meds shouldn't be taken with SSRIs. I am absolutely miserable with my cold and I have exams. What can I take that won't negatively interact with the Paxil?

I've never heard that before (and I have taken a number of ssri's). The best thing to do is to ask the pharmacist. They often are more knowledgable about interactions than MD's and likely get this specific question a lot.

Good luck!

I've never heard that. Check with a pharmacist. I recommend Advil Cold & Sinus. It has the real decongestant. So, you have to buy it at the pharmacy counter. That would be the perfect time to talk to a pharmacist! I hope that you feel better!

I just took some Advil Cold & Sinus about an hour ago myself....
