Hello Everybody, I just cant get my head around these meds. I was on Lexapro for almost 10 weeks before the docs decided that it wasnt working for me,Its so frustrating when that happened but also a relief in a way. You see you kind of know if there is little changes but there was not any.First I was on 10 mgs for 4 weeks then on 20 for 2 weeks and then on 30 until I finally went bezerk at the nurse who in turn told the doc. So now im on a mood stabilizer twice a day and remeron and zimofane and rivitrol. Oh yes and thyroid meds. as well as lexapro. thats 2 antidepressants a mood stabilizer sleeping pills oh and I forgot 2mgs of rivitrol. The pdoc said im on a good cocktail of meds but maybe I would get more out of an alcoholic cocktail. I'm ranting I know . Sorry but the pdoc said I should be better than I am !!!! Go figure. Then he asks me what do I think... em..... Still crying still ranting still screaming . Please is there anyone out there with similar experiences as this . How did you cope. Pdoc keeps telling me everything will be fine....and I replied "What Year". Im terrible aint I.

Hi Pierro. Just a note to say I read your post. Sorry, I am not on a cocktail like you so I can't offer advice, just support. I am just on an antidepressant Wellbutrin and sleeping pill Restoril. The pdoc wanted me to try a cocktail, but I got him to lay off and stick to one medication that helps. I suffered from side effects from just one med and dosages had to be adjusted. I just did not suffer to the degree you had/have to endure.

I have been on various "cocktails" over the years. Alas, with these disorders, different drugs work differently with people--and different combos. It just takes awhile. I know it's frustrating, but most people do end up sort of in a "fine" state. I'm sure your doc is trying to keep you optimistic--which is hard to be sometimes.
