Does anyone else find that lexapro sort-of works in shifts?LIke sometimes it works great and other times it feels like it isn't doing anything?
I was just curious as to what other people thought. Dar |

I put no, but I'm not quite sure what you mean by shifts.
When I was on Lexapro the problem was I had to take it during the day (fairly unusual) because it kept me awake, but it would give me a high for about 3 1/2 hours and then it would drop me back to a pit of despair lower than the one of that morning. Obviously it wasn't working for me but that was just my experience on it

By shifts I meant that some days it works and some days it doesn't.

I am on Lexapro. I like it. It helps me to sleep better, increases energy levels and improves my focus. It seems to decrease the intensity of crying. But the frequency seems about the same to me. I now cry about every two to three days rather than every other day like before the drug. I am not sure if that is what you mean by shifts. I wish I could go for a week without crying though.

When you have increased your dosage of Lexapro, do you feel like your anxiety level goes up? All day, I've been feeling like I'm about to get butterflies in my stomach but there's no reason for it. I haven't been under more stress than normal which will bring on delayed panic attacks.
It kinda ticks me off to have to take another med to counteract the effects of the first. ![]() ![]()
