question? my pain clinic dr just prescribed me Neurontin and in was reading up on it and it said about having more depression and suicidal thoughts if you are bipolar. I never told my dr I was bipolar...just that I had depression which was not under control.. anyone have any experience with this??

I take Neurontin for my FIbromyalgia , I haven't had any issues with it effecting my Bipolar.

I'm BP & take Neurontin for anxiety (600 mg x 3 daily as needed). I feel better taking this as opposed to taking the benzos on a regular basis. I find it effective with no side-effects. I wasn't even aware it was used for pain relief. I guess it's a multi-purpose med.

i take it 300mg and it doesnt affect my mood disorder

i started taking my Neurontin last night and thinking that my body cannot handle it. My chest started pounding several times for no reason, I was very restless and tossing and turning ALOT more than usual when I tried to sleep and I was wide awake until about 4am! Plus my right arm is hurting so much more and number and not sure if that is because I used it too much yesterday or from the med! Anybody else have these side effects? Do I try it again tonight or no?
