Has anyone taken this med? its an older antidepressant.. The brand name is Norpramin. The generic is desipramine.

I haven't taken that particular med, but I've taken two other meds in that category. These meds are tricyclic antidepressants. As you say, they are older drugs. I've taken amitriptyline and nortriptyline. I did find them helpful. Amitriptyline changed my life. It helped me sleep better, and I generally felt a lot better.

Good luck with with taking this new med.
