Seroquel helped me gain weight in my case I looked pretty good and once I was switched to geodon I lost the excess weight and am skinny. I would have preferred the extra weight though. Your pdoc might know of something for your weight issue but don't get used to seroquel! That is a pretty chill drug.

dizzyqueen,

I have been on seroquel three times a day at 400mg, 200mg, 200mg for over a year it is a very chill drug and will cause weight gain and super sleepiness. It is hard to work if you take it and keeps getting harder and harder. There is other meds your doc can use if you are interested in change and he is open to it too. Good luck with this and take care.

I suspect your doctor does not like your chances for Diabetes which Seroquel might cause. I would ask your doctors to call one another and come up with something that you could try that they both might like (don't allow them to play piggy in the middle with you, make it their problem, not yours, they're the "experts" :-)

Sometimes there is no love lost between doc and shrink, your shrink may not care about your weight has its his job to look after your head, then you doc gets worried about your weight which his his job. If you feel the med is good and the weight is not that bad, get your head right first . But no diet works on your med.
