I'm in Canada. I just got a phone call from my pharmacy yesterday asking if I was still on Seroquel. I said yes. he asked if I had any tablets left. I said yes. He said stop taking them, there's been a recall. Apparently the batch my prescription came from, some of the pills got contaminated by an antibiotic that some people are seriously allergic too.
Come on really? How does that happen? At the same time, I'm grateful the gov't has an effective tracking and recall process in place. But here's the kicker - I'm to stop taking them, and bring them into the pharmacy on Wed., when they'll have more from a different supplier. It's just a Prn med for me, so going without it, until wed. won't affect me that badly, but it is annoying. spliitmage |

The three recalled batches were all produced in China. Shoddy controls over there. Sorry you have to wait until Wednesday to get back on it.
