So about 6 weeks ago pdoc added Lamictal to my med regimine. The first 2 weeks I didn't feel much of anything and was still having hypomanic moments. But around week 3 (when I started taking it twice a day as pdoc instructed) I found that I experienced hypomania less (makes sense).
However, also since week 3 I have felt "calmer" overall. I used to really be "on-edge" and "irritable," but now I am not anymore. It's a nice feeling to be able to stay calm, so I'm not complaining. ![]() I'm just curious...is the calming effect I have experienced due to the Lamictal, or is it a coincidence that they both happened at the same time? I see pdoc tomorrow, but I don't know if I should ask him this or not as I don't want him to think I am saying it is a "problem" and "bugging me" because it's not. |

Sorry we didn't get to your post until after your appointment. I'm thinking the Lamictal can cause relaxing. What did the doc say?

I take lamicatal to keep me from going into such a low mood because its a mood stabilizer. It also helps with anxiety. I've been on it for several years with no side effects.

lamictal is a good mood stabilizer and it has helped me a lot. Now I am off it but I know how much it helped me through my dark phrase.
