I am having crazy reactions to different drugs lately. The Wellbutrin made me extremely energetic, irritable, and kind of a crazy jerk. It also gave me calf and upperbody aches. I tried reducing the Wellbutrin and I started having heart palpitations. The palpitations caused excruciating anxiety. I tried taking vitamins and my heart palpitations lessened and I started feeling significantly better mentally, but then I started having a reaction to the vitamins (confusion, numb arms, overheating). So now I'm off the vitamins and I've stabilized somewhat but I'm afraid the h palps will come back or the irritable personality will return from the Wellbutrin????
Any suggestions. I know they are doing more and more studies lately and are finding Wellbutrin and my mood stabilizers can decrease the absorption of all sorts of vitamins, so there could be a link. Major, major confusion. My Pdoc, my family doc, and a cardiologist all don't really know what's going on. I don't know who to turn to or what to do. HELP!!!!

Have you tried a medication that could replace Wellbutrin as per pdoc?
what does your cardiologist say about Inderal, could that be an option or have they trialled it with you? The adverse effects of extremely energetic, irritability, crazy jerk sounds like what happened to me till my body and the dosage came to an agreeable dose. I use Inderal so I didn't get heart palpitations. Well, I would have pdoc consider lowering dosage of Wellbutrin if it can't be substituted for something else. I rode it out till I found my proper dosage on Wellbutrin.
