I know this sounds like a weird complaint/question but is it normal to get almost too much energy from antidepressants? I feel amazing, am not depressed or anything at all which is great but I can't sleep for days and feel like I'm moving 100mph, I have so many things going on at once and can't slow down. I almost feel like I'm too happy/energetic if that makes sense?

are you by chance bipolar? antidepressants can trigger a mania for bipolar patients. but some antidepressants will make you hyper on their own, like I know wellbutrin was supposed to amp you up. it is definitely something to talk to your pdoc about. take care.

Kaliope said exactly what I was going to say. In fact, if people are bipolar, then docs are now being very careful about giving them antidepressants.

Hi PAYNE1 and Kaliope, my psychiatrist actually said he thinks I'm bipolar but he wasn't 100 percent sure and wanted to see how I do on this medication first. I mean I'm not depressed at all which is wonderful, I feel great but it's almost way too much and too great if that makes any sense at all
