Anyone experienced hair loss on Zoloft or any other sertraline product?
I´ve allways had wery thick hair, and last winter i lost a lot of it in 2monts!
Then i saw the side effect hair loss on the next rearest side effects list. I quit the whole thing then witch was a MAJOR MISTAKE!!
now im back on it since yesterday. Have been trying citalopram now witch have not helped me much. It was the only SSRI witch had not the hair loss on the list.

My doctor believes it is just genetic, and I sure hope so. It´s been like 6months since i quit it, and I believe the hair should have come back by now if it was from the zoloft. It just seemed so strange that i could lose so much in about 2months, when i´ve allways had such a thick hair. But maybe it´s just normal, or maybe stress related.

My hair loss came after a trauma I went through which also caused a massive weight loss that was considered to be at the anorexia level. The stress & PTSD symptoms were horrible. The only med I have been on is seroquel for helping me sleep without the nightmares.

It's horrible because when I blow dry my hair it looks like straw. I end up looking like one of those troll dolls that were around in the 60's. Luckily I have found seversl hair pieces that work well. I can pull my hair back & clip on the hair piece.

Just remember that hair grows slow depending on how nutritional & how much calcium you take in daily. I am still not eating well, so my hair still looks horrible 1 1/2 years later.

Good luck & check what you are eating. I am sure you can find something about hair growth on the internet that can help you to know what can help your hair to grow back naturally.

That sounds harsh!
I eat pretty good, but should take my vitamins every day as i use to do. Of course its not as harsh for me as a guy to loose hair, but im young, and don´t like to loose them because of medicines.
Thanx for the tip and good luck to you!
