My Psych started me on cymbalta friday ... and I was wondering if its one of those that takes a month before it levels you out or if it works right away ???

I have been all over the place since ... i was wondering if I could expect this for a while or what ??? I appreciate any input (i know i should have asked my dr, or he should have told me what to expect ... I think ... neither of us are worth a crap ??

Well I don't think it will work straight away, it may not work at all. It tells you all this on the leaflet you get with your meds, lots get worse before better that's the norm had a drug invades your mind. then in 4 to 8 weeks you will no if its working.

I have been on 120 mg of Cymbalta for about 3 years and I am quite stable, getting along really well with everything I am facing.

I believe it took about a month for it to be effective. I started taking it with 30 mg of Remeron as well. We added a small dose of Abilify about a year and a half ago to bring me up to AOK status.l

The side effects are wonderful for me--it helps my diabetic neuropathy, it's constipating--I have chronic diahrrea, don't need meds much for that now--so I am happy to stay on it. Yea, my insurance pays for all of my meds after an annual minimum for medical expenses on my part is met.
