I've been off and on it for a couple of years now for depression and anxiety.. I don't feel it helps enough with either of those issues, esp maybe the depression... I don't know.. Doc tried to switch me to effexor a while ago and i got worse so i went back on celexa.. I feel stuck..

On and off is the worst thing you can do, because it messes up with your brain chemistry... if you go on and off too often, your body doesn't have time to adjust so you are whacked up.
If you cannot tolerate a drug, come off securedly to either try something else or try chem-free... if you feel you need something to help you out... you need to stick with it for longer time and come of slowly if you feel it's the time. Stopping abruptly, taking it sporadically... is no good.

What dose are you on? You may need a higher dose. Or you may need to supplement it with something, either another AD from another class or an AP. Personally I'm on Effexor, Celexa, and Risperidone. When we added the Risperidone it made a big difference.
