I took citrilopram (sp?) a few years back for almost a year and it done wonders for me. Within a week, I felt better had less panic/anxiety attacks, no more phobias or flashbacks, depression and I had way more energy.
The reason Im nervous is because Im starting back tomarrow. And altho it didnt really do amything like Celexa, I took it for a year then off for 2-3 then back on it. But on my 2nd time around, I had really ba side effects including suicadal ideation. Im worried the same thing will happen with Celexa. But the 2nd time on Zoloft, I went from name brand to sertraline. Could that have been why?

I don't think you have to necessarily worry about the same thing happening. Each drug is different. I have found the generic brands sometimes have different effects but mostly there small. I think you can feel fairly safe taking the generic. It's always a guess when it comes to meds. Good luck.

CELEXA , is the med CITALOPRAM is the generic , so you say the generic was better, they are both put through the most stringent tests it ENGLAND and the genic has always past has the real med. So in England at least our med and generics are the same.
