I was prescribed zoloft (25mg) for my anxiety at the beginning of the month and since then I've lost ten pounds and my weight is still dropping. I needed to lose ten pounds anyway, but I'm still a bit alarmed by all of this. Did anyone have a similar experience? I take vyvanse as well, could the weight loss be a drug interaction?

I lost weight when first taking zoloft. Have you been eating, or has it been a loss of appetite kind of thing?

Gosh, I can only wish I lost weight on Zoloft but it didn't happen. But then again, i don't recall gaining weight either, so that is a good thing.

Its normal to loose weight when first starting a med, the weight comes later. But your on a small dose of Zoloft - sertraline but it was a lot more weight friendly for me than Lexapro .

Thanks for your help! It has kind of been a loss of appetite thing- I feel like I just can't eat as much as I used to. But today, I ate a HUGE dinner and honestly I'm feeling pretty great about it

Well, I'm ready to stop the Zoloft because I no longer feel comfortable in my own skin

ask to cut dose to 50mg and take it every day, not just when you feel like it.

Yes Vyvanse will cause crazy weight loss. My son.was on it for 5 years and initially lost 15 lbs (he was 5) but the school threatend legal action if we didnt continue it. He couldnt eat or gain weight and it seemed like it was stunting his height. Last November I said the heck with the school and took him off it. Since then hes gained 30 lbs and grew almost an inch.
