Lexapro is my 3rd a/d, but it's making me manic, so pdoc wants to switch me, it's so frustrating!

I have been looking for the miracle drug for 30 years and still can't find it. I have had a few that worked for a while but they always quit working. But I still have hope and keep trying because doing without if not an option.

The psychopharm industry is far less developed than they would generally have you believe...personally I would encourage you to keep looking and trying new meds and talking to your doc but *not* to make drugs the centerpiece of your recovery plan.

It is discouraging. I have been on Zoloft, Celexa, Pristiq, Effexor, Serzone, Remeron, Lexapro, Wellbutrin (all varieties)...I refused Paxil & Prozac(because SSRI's cause muscle stiffness for me).

I now on a starting dose of Cymbalta, 30 mg...I do feel some muscle tightness...we will see.

Muscle stiffness is a start up side effect to many AD.s , is it that bad you carnt move or just stiff . Your body belongs to a med once you take it , muscle stiffness is a small price to pay for depression releaf
