So I've been on Prozac since May of this year and since then I've lost ten pounds. I also don't really have much of an appetite anymore, usually eating once or twice (at the most) a day... I'm seriously thinking about switching medications. Does anyone know of anything that does NOT make you lose weight? However, at the same time, I also do not want to gain weight either..
thanks. feedback much appreciated ![]() |

Are you referring to an anti-depressant specifically?
Wellbutrin sometimes causes people to lose weight. Citalopram makes some people pick up a bit of weight. Anti-psychotics generally cause weight gain But everyone responds differently.

Consider yourself lucky! I have gained and lost over 60 kilos depending on what medication I am on. I am so glad that I lost weight on my current meds. Are you sure its the meds causing you not to eat or are you still feeling down?
