I'm on Zoloft tapering off that to Prozac. Neither seem to really work. I am so frustrated to no end. Is there something better out there I should ask to be put on. I have chronic depression, PTSD among other things.
Im on risperdone that actually does seem to work.
And lastly trazadone that does help with sleep but not the nightmares. My question with it is should it help with nightmares and if not is there something that does? Is my dose just too low maybe?
I am going to ask for Xanax Tuesday because its the only thing that works for panic attacks. Is there anything else that doctors are more willing to use that will stop or lessen a attack that really works?

aziza, I understand your frustration--it took me forever to find a med combo that seems to lessen my symptoms--does not completely get rid of them but makes them tolerable (most the time). Right now I'm struggling because I'm trying to cut down my dosage of some of my meds. Hang in there and keep trying the meds. Have faith that you will eventually find the right combo for you.........D.

Aziza:

I can relate. Been on a few anti-depressants (Currently generic lexapro 5 weeks @ 10 mg) and take clonezepam daily. The clonezepam does cut back my anxiety and helps me function, but the anti-depressants don't seem to do much for me.

Considering adding Deplin with the lexapro.

Hope things get better for you.

PG
GAD, OCD, mild depression
Clonazepam .25mg x3, .50mg x1, .50mg x1 as needed
Generic Lexapro 10mg x 1
Various supplements
Thanks for this!

it does take several trials of different meds i've found out after 20years of trial and error, and have in the past 5 years been stable on my meds. I still get depressed and have bouts of depression, but not to the extent it used to be.
Thanks for this!
