The idea of overdosing sounds pretty bad for any reason! What are the reasons that they are giving you? Why won't they write the scripts? Surely it isn't because they are afraid that you will overdose!? Hmm. Let me know your outcome and good-luck! Mickey

Do you have someone you could let know the meds aren't helping? I hope you don't overdose, do you have a psychiatrist and therapist? Could you bring it up at your next appointment with whoever prescribes them and ask them about considering changing you to prozac? I would ask them why they won't write anymore and try to find another doctor or NP who could. I don't see why a doctor or NP whichever you see would just refuse prescribing meds to you. Please don't OD, it's definitely not the best way to get your meds changed, you could seriously hurt yourself even if your intentions are only to get on a different medicine.

I'm on prozac now. Im on medicaid and i was seeing a psychiatrist for a while, but the ones at that particular clinic only sees clients for a certain length of time--then they cut them off no matter what. There's a clinic in my area that has a psychiatrist, but I would be required to be a patient under the physicians there, also and I've already had a bad experience with them; my physician I see now suddenly doenst want to prescribe prozac anymore because i guess his suprevisores are on his back--even tho he still thinks i need it/ there arent any other psychiatrists out here who take medicaid; there are a lot of therepaists out here who do--but none of them prescribe meds.

I don't see you have much choice but to go back to the clinic, even if you had a bad experience. I don't know what kind of bad experience you had but it might be worth giving them a second chance. An overdose would only be a temporary fix and could damage organs that could render you medically impared and even to the point of needing to be in a nursing home. And I don't think that is what you are looking for. Good luck to you. HOpe you can work something out.

ODing on pills is not fun, you could die, go into a seizure, cause permanent damage.

Overdose and thy wont give you anymore meds unless there supervised, that mean,s picking a days supply at a time up, or someone to supervise you and hold your meds for you. I no has only my wife can pick up my meds at the chemist and is in charge of supply . OTHERWISE I GET NONE.
Thanks for this!

Doctors will take much less input from you if you abuse your medications. They will not be more likely to give you what you want.

I would hope so, Prozac is just another SSRI antidepressant.
