I appreciate all of your replies, the PDR link was very informative.any other suggestion's or experiences would be helpful, I understand that this drug is widely abused and is sold for 5.00 a dose.(working mans heroin) considering its abuse/dependency potential this is very scary stuff, thanks again!

Nubain is pretty potent stuff. It's a agonist-antagonist mix which means it has properties that BLOCK opiate receptors as well. Unusual - I've not heard of abuse of this specific opioid. If he is using it IV- then he's pretty much hoooked - but there is hope. There are effects methods for detox including the medication Naltrexone along with drug counseling/therapy.

Hope this helps
