I've been taking Wellbutrin for a while and has worked pretty damn good! No side effects, I don't feel drugged or doped up or dizzy or slowed down. In fact I feel normal on it! It worked great all summer. But historically the fall and winter tend to be the worse for me, and I'm already feeling the Wellbutrin failing. I'm at the max dosage too.

Here's my question, what is your favorite anti-depressant and why?

I have not had much luck with any of the SSRIs, and Zoloft was the worse for me. It is essential for me to feel 100% functional, no zombie pills! And I don't want to be sexually dysfunctional either! With that in mind what do you take and how does it make you feel? Most importantly, does it slow you down at all?

Thanks..

My doctor just put me on Welbutrin. I'm hoping it pulls me out of my depression. If it does that then it will be my favorite. All of the others I've taken have quit working and it is a long list.

I take 40mg of celexa along with other meds. It doesn't slow me down at all. It makes me feel like I have enough energy to get through the day. It works good in combination with my other medications.

I used to take Zoloft abut 3 years ago and helped me out of a deep depression but I felt like I was very forgetful, was almost hypomanic. The second time I was prescribed it which was a few months ago I was up for days hallucinating, completely manic. So I guess I can't judge Zoloft because I was on it without a mood stabilizer but I still don't like it.

Zoloft is my favourite. Really helps with OCD and anxiety. I like paroxetine too, but havent needed to be on that for years since the Zoloft does the job. I have no side effects from it but I am currently on a small dose.

Lexapro and Zoloft are my two favorites. Everything else has pretty much sucked for me.

I'm on zoloft right now and it's only been two weeks but I haven't had any bad side effects. I'm not anymore tired then usual (I'm a chronic fatigue kind of girl). I'm just waiting to up the dose a bit and feel the full effects.

Interesting to hear that zoloft works/worked so well for many of you. I was on it a long time ago (like when I was 10 or 12) for a little bit and never tried it again. I don't remember if it helped.

The best med combination I've been on was lexapro with abilify. But I gained too much weight on the abilify that it crushed my self esteem and it wasn't worth it. And after 3-4 years, the lexapro "stopped" working. I'm still working with my pdoc on finding the right meds :/ such a frustrating process.

I'm on Wellbutrin IR and has worked wonders for me with no side effect, but winter usually is worse for me and I'm already at the max dosage for Wellbutrin, so I'm looking for a addition to it just for the winter.

Wellbutrin made me anxious. We're all different. Luvox for my best.

I'm looking for some thing like Wellbutrin I can take with Wellbutrin. But I don't want any thing that will make me feel tired or run down if you know what I mean. I need to be 100% fully functional for my job which requires quick thinking. That was why most of the antidepressants did not work for me. Wellbutrin wiorks but during the fall and winter I get worse and I am already feeling it slip thru the Wellbutrin. And I am on the max dosage for it too

I'm hoping to find some thing to take along with wellbutrin that will not make me feel tired or slow me down. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have been on many, many meds. Must say effexor xr worked the best for me, but over the 13 years had to raise the dose to 600 mgs. Recently, reduced the effexor to 450 and and added abilify and welbutrin xl.

Never had many side effects with any meds, other than weight gain.

Hi all. I am on 500 Welly and 80 Prozac. I am juiced yet SAD hits me hard in the fall and winter. Get one of those stupid happy lights. It works. I sit there with a happy light right on my face and have my med cocktail.

No, but I do take paxil at night along with klonopin. I usually sleep well and feel energized the next morning.
