My daughter (20) is suffering from many things, including depression, anxiety, and pain from migraines and siatic (sp?) nerve. She's been on many meds, but is supposed to begin Cymbalta and Nardil tomorrow - when I looked it up there is a "major" interaction warning...has anyone every taken both at the same time? Or know anything about the dangers? Or maybe it's fine and I'm worrying too much...Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi, Angel1212, and welcome to Psych Central! I hope you will check back and see this response.

Yes, I did read that these two drugs together can cause Serotonin Syndrome. I think the doc should know what he is doing and will keep an eye out for the beginning of the symptoms. However, perhaps your daughter could ask him about it (or you, if your daughter allows you to get involved with her treatment.)

Evidently no one here has taken these two together. Sorry we were slow to respond, but we were hoping someone would have and would have responded by now.

Hope your daughter will be better soon.
