Doctor has me switching from Pristiq to Viibryd. Is anyone else on this med? He also gave me Doxepin to help with sleep.

yeah. my pdoc put me on it a few months after it was put on the market.
I was also placed on other meds and getting off of other meds at the same time, so i dont know exactly how or if it helps. i know that it doesnt give me many problems in symptoms or side effects. But stopping cold turkey is a horrible problem for me on this med. I can get through most of the day, before i start getting restless, aggitated, feeling like h**l, and many other things.
Oh, and i dont know if it was this med, or something else, but the first two or three weeks, i wasn't able to eat much because i was too nauseated.

I have been on viibryd for 10 weeks now (up to 40 mg) and for the past two days have been feeling much better, more motivated, my thoughts are not as scattered, things don't seem so bleak. Along with acting on serotonin, viibryd is also supposed to have a bit of an anti-anxiety effect. I also started wellbutrin about 4 days ago but I heard that can be really fast-acting, so who knows which med is doing what for me.

Viibryd is "supposed" to take 6-8 weeks to have an effect. Seems to have taken a bit longer for me. I'd give it a chance. Good luck with it!
