I have been on Abilify for 6 years. I gained a lot of weight from it. Despite exercising daily and eating healthy I have not been able to make the scale budge. I even tried weight watchers and no effect. I quit due to depression about not losing like others were. I am currently tapering off the Abilify. I feel it is my only chance to get healthy. I have also had high blood sugars. I fearthat I will become a diabetic if I continue on the Abilify.
If anyone has any suggestions, experiences or thoughts I would like to hear them. |

Hey tapering- sorry to hear! I actually switched from Abilify to Latuda last month to help with my bipolar depression. I find I'm not as hungry on Latuda and it's much more effective at fighting depression. Best of luck!!

I would like to journal or blog about my experiences with this taper but don't know of a good app or a place to do that. I need to be on here 30 days before I can start a personal blog on here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My last choice would be to handwrite it into a journal. I have windows 8 on a laptop and an old ipad. I use the ipad the most. If you know where would be a better place to post this please let me know.

Update. I am wishing I could come off more, but need to take it easy during the holiday season. I often get really bad seasonal depression. Just want to stop being a prisoner of Abilify soon.
