I have been feeling so disconnected lately. I thought I was getting worse, but wonder, if, in fact, I am just overmedicated. I am going to talk to my pdoc about this. I wish I could get off meds all together, but I don't think that will be an option. BTW, on Seroquel 300 and Cymbalta 60.

That doesn't sound like high doses of those medications but everyone reacts different. It's a good idea to discuss it with you doctor.

Not really high doses or an over-abundance of meds. Perhaps this is more of mood/issue issue unrelated to meds.

Sorry to hear...I hated Seroquel because I always felt over medicated and hungry on it!

You don't have to be "over-medicated" to have feelings of disconnection as an effect. You could be on the lowest dose and still experience it. Did it come on recently, was it triggered by a certain event or string of things or have you always felt like this? If you feel you need to continue the meds as you are now, maybe brain storm things that have in the past or you think will help you feel more connected.

Thanks, you are probably right. This has been going on for several weeks now. Guess I just want it to be something that in my mind would be "an easy fix".

One thing I've learned is nothing concerning mental health is easy to fix.

Are either of the meds new or recently increased? Would make more sense to be down to meds if there had been an adjustment around the same the feeling of disconnection started.

I know how you feel about wanting to be off meds altogether...me too! Am seriously considering it lately as side effects of new meds and a lack of positive effect makes it all seem pointless!

Hello. The culprit may be Seroquel. It is a naughty med that can make you feel zombieish, gain weight and sleep. When I feel like you are, it is my meds or severe depression. You know your mind, talk with your doctor. You may need to lower a med.
