So I started dating a man who said he is on anti depressants which prevent him from having an orgasm. But he said he still really likes sex and it feels great so it isn't a problem. Is he just saying that? Could sex be satisfying for him if he doesn't finish?

Hey Nerak67-Good question-yes the SSRI's and SNRI's can cause sexual dysfunction. Aplenzin/Welburtrin and Nefazodone do not! Acetyl L-Carnitine as a supplement helps with sexual dysfunction or even a low dose of Nefazodone. For me sex isn't satisfying without an orgasm, but it's always fulfilling to please my wife!

I'm a male, early 20s.

When I was on paxil, I could not orgasm for almost 3 months. Then when I did orgasm it took longer, like 40-120 minutes to reach orgasm.

When I was on prozac I would last 40-60 minutes.

Depending on the SSRI, different effects on different people. I suffered from premature ejaculation, thanks to the side effects of antidepressants I was able to satisfy my parents in more than one way.

There are ways, I cannot orgasm through intercourse but can with masturbation . You no how to hit your own spot The wife gets sex has long has she want,s , then flick the wrist with a little stimulation from the wife. In fact it works out well for both of us.
