I am wondering if I can get by on lamictal only or lamictal and Zoloft. I have severe depressions and get hypo manic on antidepressants alone. I am currently on Abilify in addition to the others. I am sick of the side effects of atypical antipsychotics namely weight gain and metabolic problems including high blood sugar. I cannot tollerate lithium. I vomit. I got a rash from topamax. Depakote does not work for me and gives me severe diarrhea. Any suggestions? I am thinking of trying high doses of fish oil in addition to my meds.

Hey tapering-my guess is that you'd probably be able to get by on Lamictal and Zoloft if anger isn't an issue! For me I need an AAP for anger management! I prefer Latuda since it works great and is weight neutral! Best of luck and hope they work for you!!

Thanks Vans for your response. I do not have the anger part of mania. I get talkative and anxious when I am activated by the antidepressant.
