Hi everyone. Wondering if anyone here has taken accutane anytime in their lives. Been doing some research and long term side effects match a lot of what I've been going through:

-history of depression since accutane
-low energy
-muscle pain and inflammation
-stomach problems

Two of my sons took accurate and required double the treatment length. Neither has had any long-term side effects.

I was on Accutane 20 years ago for the full course of treatment, and experienced none of those side effects. I was already depressed, so I don't think my depression was caused by that. I have had depression and suicidal thoughts since I was 12 years old. No muscle pain or any of the other symptoms to report. Accutane took away my acne - best drug ever, as far as I'm concerned.

I've had all of those side effects from Accutane. I didn't start getting depressed and suicidal until I took Accutane. Maybe it's coincidence, but I doubt it.

I had sleep problems after taking accutane@ 40 mg.,which has not resolved.,i wonder if it going to be permanent..many case reports with depression ,suicidality,inflammatory bowel disease were reported..
