I"m going to start taking Pristiq after I wean off from my current meds.

I'm wondering if anybody has anything to say about this drug.

Thanks in advance.

Hello!

I've been on Pristiq for about eight months. It HAS helped the depression (erased all kinds of evil fantasies by about 95%). But I think it's been wearing off recently, so I'm tapering down and will spend a month without it and see if that makes any difference. There were no side effects at all, for me. It worked very fast in the beginning. Within a week I felt a substantial difference. But, of course, everyone being different, read the package insert and tell your Pdoc if any of the serious side effects show up.

Good luck!

For me Prestiq had no effect on the depression and anxiety whatsoever. I hope it works for you.

I took 100mg of Pristiq last year for two months. While I found it helpful for my depression, I had a hard time dealing with the subsequent sexual dysfunction. It basically destroyed my ability to have the big O, and eventually I decided I couldn't handle that anymore, so I asked to be pulled off.

I also had some blurred vision on Pristiq, while went away after a few weeks.

Anyways, you may or may not get these side effects. Good luck with it!
