is 2 mg of risperidone too low for schizophrenia?
its been a week and i haven't felt any changes regarding my hallucinations. should i increase it to 3 or 4 mg?
I'll see my doctor in a week .

i would wait to see what your docs say, it can take up to a month for it to really work, for me i was on 2mg for a while for my psychosis and it helped but they had to put me up to 3mg because the delusions came back. i hope you figure it out !!

i totally understand how hard the wait is, and i wouldnt blame you if u put ur dose up but it will still take weeks to start working ya know? it might sedate you a little more tho, can you call somewhere to ask advice?

i guess im gonna wait this week and see my doctor as you said.
one important question: does this drug and other antipsychotics make u friendlier? like u wanna be around others and enjoy being with them? and get out of ur isolation?

it did help me out of my um..social woes yes, i was very isolated and paranoid and suspicious and it helped me to relax and controlled my anger which really helped me to socialize, i think because of this drug my life changed for the better,

thanks man, so im gonna wait and wait and hope for the best, but i have to admit " easier said than done!"
i hope the doctor adds another drug for my anxiety.

well they added zoloft (sertraline) to my list for depression/anxiety and they worked well together
