Hello,
I've started a new antidepressant, and am wondering what others have experienced in terms if how early people have noticed a benefit from meds. I know it can take weeks... But am wondering if anyone's noticed benefit in the first week...

At first you may be prescribed a medication at the lowest end of the scale. Some meds may take 4 -6 weeks to build up in your system. They may then be increased to a point where you are feeling a benefit. It is hard to give you a time line as to when you may feel it beneficial.

Take good care of yourself and keep in contact with your care provider.

Recently with Fetzima in the second week I started feeling it. I was quite surprised.

I felt the benefits of Lexapro on my fifth day and it improved from there.
