Any other Pristiq users on here? I've only been taking this stuff for a little over 3 weeks. I usually get up around 2 pm (yeah weird I know) and take my daily dose of 50mg. It seems every evening between 7 and 9 my anxiety peaks. It's not real bad, just annoying as f***. I have some gabapentin to help with that, but 100 to 200 mg at a time often doesn't do much and I'm afraid to take any more than that. I've read that due to the time-release nature of the med that it reaches peak concentration around 7.5 hours after taking it. I'll usually calm down after 11pm or so and be pretty chill the rest of the night. Anyone else experience this on Pristiq or other similar medication?

I just started Viibryd a few days ago, it threw me into a full blown panic attack yesterday, so I cut the dose in half per pdoc orders today and it was much better, less anxiety.

I was on Pristiq for a few weeks not too long ago and it did activate me to the point of slight anxiety, I remember being really stiff from being so up tight all day. Other than that I didn't have much more anxiety with it.

It is an SSNRI and is supposed to be activating. I took Pristiq for a year and it didn't cause anxiety nor was it activating. Didn't work that well but it did work to a degree.

Now I am on Fetzima and SSNRI and it is very activating for me. 6 weeks now and a lot of feeling wired and hypomania. Han't increased anxiety though.

Are you sure it is anxiety and not just feeling wired? there is a difference.

Hopefully it will go away for you.

I'm on pristiq, have been for 5 years, pretty sensitive to meds and don't experience what you've posted. We're currently phasing out the pristiq as my doc thinks it's making me more anxious in general, but I wouldn't be able to put it in a time frame like that.
Thanks for this!
