I'm on 18mg of concerta er. 3-4 after I take it I feel clear and ready to go. But for those first 3-4 hours things are rough. Fogginess, lack focus, etc.

I've thought of trying Ritalin LA because as I understand it, it has a higher first phase kick than concerta.

Any thoughts?

I recommend you check with your pharmacist and tell them the side effects you mention. They can tell you if it is normal and will go away or if you should be concerned. You should also follow up with the person that prescribed the medication, I assume a PDoc. He/she will know how to adjust the meds or replace them. Good luck!

I second speaking with a pharmacist. They know the different formulations and could answer this question for you.

Can someone tell me why I can't post? I'm new so is there a time period that I've got to wait for?
