Anybody else on Seroquel (either for treatment of psychosis or sleep) getting a good eight hours of mostly uninterrupted sleep with the side effect of very vivid dreams? I take 100mg at night and within half-an-hour am deeply sleep and I just took myself off the Prazosin my p-doc prescribed to me and am just going to flush it because it is day 5 and am still having unnerving nightmares - just cloudy now so i would rather have the full effect of being able to remember my dreams so i can perform dream analysis and the imagery and symbolism. It does seem a bit odd to be on two antipsychotics but my zyprexa takes care of that and the low dose of seroquel seems to give me a good nights sleep every night, despite being full of disturbing dreams. Coffee in the morning and a ciggy help me come back to reality while I dissect my dreams. Was wondering if anybody else that takes seroquel has very vivid dreams? Comments and Conversation Welcome. |

I took Seroquel, slept soundly with no dreams. But everybody reacts differently.

I was on Lunesta and would wake up with nightmares so my doc perscribed me Prazosin which was great. I felt like Lunesta wasn't working much so he put me on Seroquel. I felt awful the first few days and once I started adjusting to the zombie effect, I would have the most hellish and awful dreams. When I was falling asleep I'd see scary images and my dreams were so negative and awful...and not to mention TOO vivid. I also would wake up often during the night and thrash around...I had to get off of it. It was too much.
