I've been more or less on seroquel since 2004 or maybe before that--I had a period of time where I kept stopping my meds. I have tried a ton of meds and med combos but it seems seroquel has been a key med for me. I also take Latuda and a couple mood stabilizers. Now, I'm on 400 mg of seroquel but I've been on as much as 800 mgs. I've taken it long enough that I no longer have side effects from it.

I find Seroquel helpful. It calms my mind without causing depression. And it really helps me sleep. I take 200mg/bedtime and 50mg/morning.

I'm a big Seroquel fan. Right now I'm taking a very high dose (700mg, 200mg XR in the morning and 500mg at night in the form of 400mg XR and 100mg IR -- max is 800mg) due to a recent mixed episode, but I imagine that when I see my pdoc next week we will cut it down a bit because I've come down and it's been about a month since we upped it, and it was specifically to bring me down. I would like to be on 300-400mg, I was on 300mg before the mixed episode for quite awhile with success.

I have hust spent the last 2 months coming off seroquel. I gound it too zombifying to function and started to develop muscle issues...especially whenI switched to the XR. It was much better snd I didnt awake feeling as groggy...but almost immediately had lock jaw and developed other muscle strains for no reason. Lost the use of one leg for nearly a week due to groin strain, then back strain, then cramping that left me on morphine and valium gor over two weeks.
I have started Saphris now, and am having bad insomnia, wicked nightmares and almost feel manic at same yime as feeling suicidal, but Im hoping that will all settle before too much longer. Seroquel....for me it was literally debilitating. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk

I didn't have a good experience with Seroquel. I was very angry all the time. I remember yelling at the top of my lungs at my loving father. he just stood there and took my anger. I felt bad about it! And I told my psychiatrist what happened and how I felt. he took me off of it immediately. I am now on Abilify 30 mg. once in the morning. It works very well. Thank you for reading!

It was calming, but made me sleep 16 hours per night.

I 've just recently gone up to 300 mg. I like it. It helps with my depression and anxiety. The only thing I don't like is how tired it makes me. I take it at night, and need a solid 10 hours sleep, or else I feel like I'm drunk the next morning.

With the feeling drunk, rather than take more meds, I found taking the ablet after dinner on a full stomach, like 6pm then good strong coffee afterwsrds wouls slow the bedtime to about 10pm....but the 10 hours usually wore off around 6-7am. Another coffee then I could work. Taking like that, especially on full stomach earlier meant it didnt take hours netct day before I could function. However they did make my heart palpitations worse if I took early on empty stomach then haf dinner.
My advice...take straightafter evening meal then coffe within hour that. ...youll swaken feeling fresher earlier.. ![]() Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
