I'm wondering if anyone has taken Straterra for adult ADD (without hyperactivity)? I've heard it works wonders for some people and isn't a stimulant so it doesn't have the side effects and dependence risk. Of course there are some people it doesn't help as much too, so I wonder what the differences are and which individuals are more likely have luck with it. Any experiences, good or bad?

I've also heard of people who benefit from Straterra for their ADD. It did not help me--no side effects but no reduction in symptoms either. I found adderall to be the most useful. Second choice is dexidrine. Yeah, I'd give Straterra a try before moving on to the stimulants.....D.

It did nothing for me. Didn't help, no side effects. Nothing.

Thanks for your responses. It is good to know people's responses with it. I have been on stimulants (Ritalin and now Adderall) for a few years now and they do work well, but I was curious about a non stimulant drug that might work as well. I tend to be anxious so I worry about long term consequences sometimes (even though I have never had problems).
