Ashland, Your doctor would be the best person to answer this question. Only your doctor would know what the correct dosage for you would be. There are many factors that have to be taken into consideration.

I was on started on 25mg and went up to 200mg at noon and 500mg at 6pm.. then I got off most of it and had it as a PRN 100mg as needed for agitation. but I got off it now cuase I gained weight on it. that's why. I was on it for a few years tho.
Thanks for this!

but yeah could tell u all about it it worked for sleep until it made me gain enough weight to give me sleep apnea, and then nothing works except oxygen lol. my friend gained 50 pounds on 200mg at night, I didn't gain any weight when I was on 100mg twice a day, I gained weight after I got on 600mg and up. but it was the best med ive been on except for the weight gain issue. that's why I got off of it.
Thanks for this!

ashland, Maybe ask your doctor to lower the dosage and build up gradually?
