My pdoc wants to start me on Lamictal next week. I would be interested in hearing about those currently taking or have taken. I'm currently on Pristiq, Remeron, and Latuda. I believe he will start to discontinue the Latuda, if the Lamictal proves effective.

Thanks!

I think that is a good idea. Better lamictal than latuda. I take lamictal and found it lifted my mood and I have had no side effects.

Thanks zinco, I asked my pdoc about possible neg side effects, and he mentioned a really bad rash that you can get. Less than 1% I guess can get the rash.

Do not miss a dose or mess with the time of day. I missed a couple of days and also switched the time of day I was taking it, it threw me wayyy off.

I like Lamictal especially at 600mg since at that dose it's more of an anti-depressant. But I found taking both Latuda and Lamictal at the same time was much more effective for bipolar depression. Then, just one. In fact, I believe Latuda worked much better and help me control my daily mood, where Lamictal just keeps the lows and highs from occuring too close together. Typically if you are bipolar you should be on an AAP like Latuda, with an anti-convulsant like Lamicatal and an AD, like Pristiq, and a Benzo like Xanax and generally a sleeping pill. Latuda and Lamictal didn't cause me too have any side effects and both are weight neutral as well. For me it's also all about finding the right dose and med cocktail...good luck!
Thanks for this!
