I started taking trazodone 50mg at night about a month ago now and pretty much since then my appetite has decreased dramatically. I can manage something small like a sandwich or snacks but I just cannot finish a whole meal comfortably, before this I had no problem at all. I'm not really worried about this as I'm quite happy losing weight, was just curious if it could be due to the trazodone or whether it's just coincidence. Has anyone else experienced this?
I did also break up with my bf around thattime so I guess it could also be down to that.... |

I think the break up might be more likely. I could never eat when my heart got broken but then that was me getting dumped so that is different. Are you hurting over the break up?
I take Remeron for sleep and like it better than trazadone. A lot of people gain weight on it though. I have not. Oh he broke up with me, I didn't make that too clear. Yeah it hurts. Seven years and then he says he can't handle me anymore. but even though I know it hurts somewhere I don't really feel it. I'm pretty numb lately.
I'm actually taking it as an antidepressant rather than sleep, low dose I know. |

Oh I would say the break up for sure then. I once went for months not being able to eat or sleep over a breakup. Suffering from depression does not help matters.
I am very sorry for the break up and seven years is a long time. Being numb would be a pretty normal part of the grieving process. Look up grieving process. Knowing what to expect and what I was going through really helped me at times. __________________ The "paradox" is only a conflict between reality and your feeling of what reality "ought to be." -- Richard Feynman Major Depressive Disorder Anxiety Disorder with some paranoid delusions thrown in for fun. I haven't taken trazadone for quite a few years now. But I did at one time. I don't recall ever having any appetite-related difficulties.
