I started back on lithium today and had a weird rash (that went away). I got to thinking about what else I'd taken that might have interacted with the lithium and all I could think of was the glass of homemade kombucha I'd had about the same time I took the first dose. I think it's benign, but maybe not?
I emailed my pdoc, but it's late. I thought maybe someone here might know if homemade kombucha reacts negatively with lithium? |

Hard to say. Allergic reactions can be bizarre. I would just watch that you don't get it again.

Thank you. My pdoc has never heard of kombucha. I will have to stop drinking it because I don't think it goes well with the meds.
