My doctor prescribed me Zoloft, but also mentioned celexa. Which is preferable for OCD due to an anxiety disorder? I also have panic attacks, they are not too bad but sometimes awful.

Hi there, well I have not tried Zoloft but celexa did wonders for my anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia and obsessive thoughts. I am not on it anymore for it stopped working for my depressive side. I did occasional get a acute panic attack but had Ativan for that was rare though that I used it. Hope that helps or someone who has experience with Zoloft can fill you in on their experience .
Thanks for this!

I also do not have experience with Zoloft but Celexa did help my anxiety, agoraphobia, and panic attacks although I do not have OCD, well not really to the level of concern anyway, but it didn't help it at all.

My OCD basically is that I sometimes have to make things "even" on both sides of my body so if I scratch the left side of my face I need to scratch the right side in the same manner... It's very rare that it happens and I've really gotten over it on my own as I got older.

Hope that helps a little.
