affect you much. just wondering if its just my imagination. but my anxiety seems worse since starting it about a week ago. pharmasist wanted to save me money. i know its the same med. just generic. but can it still effect differently.

I suppose it could. Different manufacturors use different binding agents I've heard. I use generic and it works fine for me. Check the bottle label for the manufacturer.

I have heard other people state that the generic version of venlafaxine hasn't worked as well as the brand name. I am not sure why this is and why it affects some people and not others. Finish up this prescription and if you are not feeling better, you may have to return to the Effexor XR.

Talk it over with your physician, and see what his/her experiences have been with his/her patients switching from brand to generic.
