I am weening off of Zoloft and I am constantly dizzy. Every time I turn my head (even slowly) I get incredibly dizzy and have this weird tingling throughout my body.
I feel sick to my stomach almost constantly. It is beginning to have an affect on my work. Is this normal? How long will the dizziness last? Is the tingling normal? im not sure about the dizziness....in fact i havent been on zoloft...but id like to recommend you go see your doctor..i know that sounds ...like duh but the tingling shouldnt be happening at all im thinking...I have a slight case of meiners disease so as for the dizziness i completely know how you feel. Good luck and just go to the doctors he will be able to help you.

I wish I could help. I've never taken Zoloft, though.
Like Inny, I can relate to the dizziness. I had a severe case of treatment-resistant Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo from 2000-2003, so I was extremely dizzy, off-balance, had blurred vision and basically felt seasick all the time. I couldn't do much of anything (lost my job, etc.) while I had it. I'm a whole lot better now and just get occasional dizzy spells -- particularly from motion or when I get a bad cold. There is a very common virus that causes labyrinthitis. It tends to go around in the spring and it can make you very dizzy. You should go talk to your doctor. The dizziness might be an effect of withdrawing from Zoloft or it could be something else like viral labyrinthitis (which usually lasts a week or 2). Good luck. I hope you feel better soon. OK, thanks for the responses Inny and Juliana. I really appreciate it. I guess I will have to talk to my doctor.

I had that when I went off of Effexor XR. I opened up the capsules and actually removed 1/3 each week because otherwise I felt too dizzy!
