I've been on this med for years and I used to swear by it. Nowadays I'm not so sure how well it's working. I'm bipolar and on a bunch of meds so it's hard to tell. Anybody ever had it poop out on them?

I've never experienced that with any ADs but I know a lot of people have. Maybe ask your pdoc about a med change or increase?

It is very common for SSRI's to poop out. Or even SSNRI's. An increase in dose might work. Maybe try Celexa as it is very similar. Maybe to similar though.

It is possible to develop a tolerance that the neuroreceptors do not respond as they used to. Talk to your doctor about what is going on; they can help.

I've heard it's common for SSRIs to poop out on bipolar people as far as moods go. I take prozac for panic disorder, and it does work for that. But SSRIs have never helped my mood/energy swings.
