I am on 60 mg of Cymbalta for about 4 months now. My question is, how long do cymbalta sexual side effects last? I have lost any ability to orgasim. I know I'm adjusting to divorce but nothing has changed because I was only getting pleasure from myself before the divorce. Does anyone have any experience with this med that they can share.

Well you never know since everybody is different but from my experience with Cymbalta and Celexa the sexual side effects never go away. Athough none of my side effects ever went away so maybe there is hope for you.

Although I think the sexual side effects are the ones that typically stick around for most people.

Try Gingko Biloba. Start with 60 mg a day and if you tolerate it without nosebleeds, up to 120 mg. It helps counteract the sexual side effects of psych meds. If it does not work you will need another med. There are transient side effects - GI side effects are usually transient - and those that stay with you until you discontinue the offending med and then for a few more weeks until your system is flushed.

it sucks!!!!!!
I been on Cymbalta for 3 years, orgasms are rare. I occasionally take a 24 or 48 hour break and let the orgasms roll.
good luck, my girlfriend does not have this problem and she is on same dose.
I have a love-hate relationship with my Cymbalta.

I am afraid all the SSRI's and SNRI's I have taken have had them and they havnt went away. Women seem to complain more about it. As a guy it made it harder to orgasm but not impossible so I could last longer so I liked the effect.

Now I am taking Fetzima, an SSNRI, and much to my amazement it does not have the sexual side effects. At least not for me. Wellbutrin doesn't have them either.
