Hello All,
Hopefully someone has had this same issue regarding Nuvigil. First, here are the details of my conditions and meds: BiPolar II - I take Seroquel at night and Lamictal in the morning Sleep Apnea - I am on a CPAP machine during the night (have been using this for 3 years), I had previously used a Oral Device but that did not help I still wake up in the morning very sleepy like I have not slept at all. Sleeping meds in the night have not helped. My Psychiatrist recently prescribed Nuvigil to me to help me function during the day. I have been on it for a week now at 150mg and it has helped a great deal. However, at the end of the day my jaw starts to tighten (there is no pain though) and I start to get tired and lightheaded. Has anyone else with similar conditions and meds had the same problems? I am wondering if I need to take a higher or lower dose. Of course I will consult with my Dr. but I still wanted to hear opinions. Thanks! |

Welcome to PC.
I am surprised the Seroquel doesn't work good for sleep. Seems you would want to solve the not sleeping good problem instead of adding nuvigal but sounds like you have really worked on that. I take Remeron for sleep at night and it has worked beautifully. Never taken Nuvigal so I dunno about that one. Maybe a slightly lower dose. Not getting the right kind of sleep for a period of time is going to cause problems nuvigal or not. Have you had a sleep study done?
