I'm not referring to withdrawal effects, but side effects you had while on it. I've been taking it every night for a few weeks for sleep, but am stopping because it isn't helping plus the side effects are too much for me to handle (nausea, night sweats, increased appetite, hungover feeling).

How long after taking it will those effects go away? Thanks!

Hello claireunderwood: Unfortunately I can't answer your question. I took Trazodone for sleep years ago. But I don't ever recall experiencing any of the side effects you describe, except for possibly having it take longer to wake up in the morning. But I have that anyway.

If you've only been taking it a few weeks, I would think your side effects should clear fairly quickly. My recollection is that Trazodone is supposed to be a pretty easy med to go on & off of. Have you consulted with the doctor who prescribed it? Since it's giving you trouble, this may be the best course of action to take.
Thanks for this!

Thank you! I have talked to my doctor about it. He said if the sides continue we can take it out and, I imagine, try something else. Fingers crossed that the sides clear quickly and with little withdrawal!

Did you find something that helped with your sleep?

Thanks.
