I took this med a long time ago. I just read Kiya thread on Lexapro. But i have a question about the nausea. I'm getting that. First time today back on it. Anyone else who got the nausea, did it help eating some crackers or something else when taking it. Or did the nausea just stay whether or not you ate something. So far i still got it.

thanks

It would usually eat a ham sandwich w/ cheese or drink a glass of milk when taking it...... then it past over time as my body got used to the medicine, say 4 months.

Chalmette -my MD has me taking it at bedtime - and if i literally take it and go to bed, i am asleep by the time the stomach ache hits.... if i wait, then i totally get it and the queasiness too.
For during the day, I am finding that if i eat really well (with no sugars) i have less stomachaches and queasiness then otherwise. Also, if I eat about 4 small meals a day, I do better.
Hope that helps =( Kiya

Have you tried eating a large meal before taking the medicine? I've never taken Lexapro but I was once on another medicine that caused me MAJOR nausea and eating beforehand solved the problem.

Thank you all for your suggestions. This morning i ate a few crackers and so far no nausea. I just made my iced coffee. But with that having caffeine, i'll see how it goes.
